Jamie Vardy is set to play one more season of Premier League football after agreeing a new one-year contract with Leicester city.

The deal he signed will keep him at the club till June 2025 to extend a highly successful spell in the east midlands since arriving from Fleetwood town in 2012.

Jamie Richard Vardy is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker or forwarder for Premier League club Leicester city. Considered by many as one of the best strikers in the world in his prime, vardy is known for his prolific Goalscoring ability aided by his pace, intelligent positioning, timing and clinical finishing ability.

Vardy signed for Leicester city in the championship in May 2012 for a non league record transfer fee of one million Euros, and helped the team win the championship in 2014.

In 2015/16 Premier League season, he scored in 11 consecutive Premier League matches, breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record, and was voted the Premier League player of the season and FWA footballer of the year as Leicester won the title.

He won the league Golden boot for the 2019-20 season, becoming the oldest player to win the award.
