Following the arrival of Jim Ratcliffe in Manchester United, the board has directed that crystal palace star Michael olise be signed to the team and Jadon Sancho be moved to Borrusia Dortmund on loan.
Manchester United are interested in making crystal palace winger Michael olise one of the first signings of sir Jim Ratcliffe’s era at old Trafford.
The 22-year old signed a four-year contract at Palace in August but his new £100,000-a-week deal includes a release clause that comes into effect in the summer.
Ratcliffe has been given total control of football operations by the Glazers under the terms of his £1.03billion deal to buy a 25 per cent stake in United, and the INEOS billionaire is pressing ahead with plans to overhaul a disastrous transfer strategy at the club, with Olise being the first.
Europe’s top defensive midfielders
Olise is viewed as a player who could help revitalise United’s woeful attack. Erik ten Hag’s side have scored just 22 goals in the Premier League this season, fewer than every team except bottom two Burnley and Sheffield United. Which simply means that they need to work on their attacking force.
How important is Michael Olise to Manchester United?
Olise is seen as somebody who could help to revitalise their underperforming attack, while Jadon Sancho could be offloaded and Anthony Martial is out of contract at the end of the season (albeit with an option to extend for a year).
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in seven Premier League games since returning from a hamstring injury in November last year, including four in his last four matches.
Owing to the fact that Sancho is set to move to Dortmund on loan and Anthony’s has ended and it’s not yet reviewed that he may or may not sign a new contract.
Manchester United signing Olise could be a boaster to their attacking force.
Olise has been linked with United and he is one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League. He has scored five goals and grabbed one assist this season despite being limited to just six games due to injury.
Signed from Reading in July 2021 for just £8million the former France youth international has developed at a rapid rate of knots to become one of the Premier League’s most exciting operators. Highly versatile in forward areas, he possess the goal-threat and creativity levels that Antony doesn’t.

Manchester United could soon be in agreement with Borussia Dortmund to finalise a loan deal that takes Jadon Sancho back to his former club.
Reports from Germany claim that a verbal agreement is in place, and that the two clubs are working to try and conclude a deal swiftly in order to allow Sancho to travel to Marbella and join the Dortmund squad at their warm weather training camp.
United have also been linked with RB Leipzig for a possible loan move for RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner. The 27-year-old ex-Chelsea man has only two goals from 14 appearances in an injury-hit campaign so far this season.
How ready is Manchester United in signing Michael Olise?
The French under-21 international Olise was the subject of interest from Chelsea over the summer. He opted to remain at Selhurst Park, though, agreeing a new deal with Palace and playing a big part this season despite missing the start of the campaign through injury.
Chelsea proceeded to turn their attention to other targets, wrapping up a £42.5million deal for Cole Palmer at the end of the transfer window.
Olise remains in demand, though, with United tipped to meet his release clause when it comes into force at the end of the season.
And looking at the attacking strength of United, I’m sure they won’t let this opportunity of Olise’s move to united slip out of their hands.

On 13th May, he became the first Palace player to register ten assists in a single Premier League season, setting up Eberechi Eze’s second goal in a 2:0 win against AFC Bournemouth.
On 17 August 2023, it was announced that Olise had signed a new four-year deal with Crystal Palace, amidst reports that he was on the verge of re-joining Chelsea.
Olise is a left-footed attacking midfielder who can play as a number 10, or either side of this position as a left or right-sided attacking midfielder.
He is noted for his ability to quickly play passes that carve open defences. His first touch is good and he has a good awareness of what is happening around him.
Olise has a good range of passing which he can use often to play in behind the opposition defence or switch the angle of attack. He likes to operate 50 to 30 yards out from goal in the right half-space, where he can use various options to continue the attack.
On the ball, Olise is an agile and mobile player. He is capable of turning quickly with good acceleration and change of pace, even when he is dribbling in very tight spaces or running with the ball.
With all these abilities, Manchester would be making a good choice signing the 21 year old winger, with the optimism that he will bring about a turnaround in Manchester United’s attacking force.
