Vincent kompany has finally left Burnley to join Bayarn Munich. Vincent kompany named as new Bayern coach, Kompany is now Bayarn’s new head coach.

The club has been on a hunt for a new coach following the departure of their former coach Thomas tuchel, which was agreed in February.

Bayern was unfortunately knocked out of the champions league in the semifinals of the game by Real Madrid on a 4-3 aggregate.

Bayern finish the 2023/24 season in third position in the Bundesliga, this is actually the first time such is happening in a very long time, it should be said that Bayern had their worst season in this summer, they were not able to win any trophy to their name this season and this prompted the sack of Thomas tuchel.

According to reports, Bayern has been unsuccessful in their pursuit of a replacement for tuchel, being turned down by many candidates, from Manchester united interim manager Ralf Ragnick, to Luverkusen’s Xabi Alonso and their former boss Julian Nagelsmann, who has currenty been named as German national team coach.

But as it stands, Bayern already have a new man in sight, Manchester city legend Vincent kompany who led Burnley side to 101 points in the championship in 2022/23, but could not keep that standard up on their return to the premier league despite the heavy summer investment.

They were relegated with just 24 points, second from the bottom of the table, winning just five league matches.

Of course this is a welcoming development for the young coach, he never thought that he will coach such a big club as Bayern at that young age, in order wards this is just an open door for more greater clubs to come after him if he does well there.

He did well as a defender during his stay at Manchester city, he retired as the club’s legend and he will be forever be remembered.

Moving on to become Burnley coach was some task for him but he proved that he has really passed through one of the best coaches in football pep Guardiola.

He lifted the championship trophy with 101 points and guided the club to the premier league the next season, though he was not able to retain that standard as they were unfortunately relegated back to the championship.

It is sure that with the caliber of players at the club and the recourses the Team has, he will surely do well and better than he has done previously.

What attracted Bayern to Kompany?

Kompany has revered for his attractiveness, possession-based style of play, and the way that he transformed Lancashire club from a defensive, direct side under Sean Dyche to an adventurous, front-footed force.

He had previously piled his managerial trade for the first time at Anderlecht in his native he Belguim, where he played 88 times, before leading them for three years as head coach.

Kompany emphasized his desire to employ a possession-based style of play at Allianz Arena in his first statement as Bayern Munich Manager.

‘I am looking forward to the challenge of FC Bayern’ he said. ‘it is a great honour to be able to work for this club.

‘As a coach, you have to stand for what you are as a personality. I love having the ball, being creative and we also have to be aggressive on the pitch and courageous.’

‘I am looking forward to the very basic things: working with the players, building a team. When the foundation is in place, success will follow’.

Kompany’s track record in his prime

Vincent Kompany is Belgian professional football manager and former player who is currently the head coach of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.

A center back, he played for Manchester city for eleven seasons, eight of which he spent as the captain. He also represented Belgium for fifteen years, seven of which he was captain.

He began his career at Anderlecht and he was with the club for three seasons and then he moved to Hamburg and after wards he moved to Manchester city where he established himself as an integral part of the squad and was regarded as one of the bargain buys of the revolutionized city era, blossoming into one of the league’s best center backs.

He became captain in the 2011/12 season of city, leading the club to win the premier league that season same season, their first league title in 44 years.

Kompany went on to win 11 more trophies at city and made 360 appearances. Then Manchester city chairman khaldoon Al Mubarak announced plans for a statue of Kompany at the Etihad stadium, along with teammates Sergio Aguero and David Silva, to commemorate his transformational contribution at city.
